Frequently asked questions

How many panels for 4,500 kWh a year?

A 3 kWp system (about 7 panels) produces 2,850 to 4,050 kWh a year depending on the region. To cover 4,500 kWh you would rather need 4 to 5 kWp: enter your own figures to see the exact coverage.

Is self-consumption always worth it?

Self-consumption avoids buying grid electricity at retail price and is the most valuable part. Exported surplus is paid far less, so size the system on real consumption and daytime presence rather than maximum output.

Are these figures guaranteed?

No: this is an estimate based on an average regional yield (950 to 1,350 kWh per kWp per year). Orientation, tilt, shading and the real price per kWh change the result, an installer quote remains the reference.
